Inspirational Video: Jill Bolte Taylor’s stroke of insight

Today’s inspiration comes from the TEDTalks Series at Ted.com. The annual TED conferences, in Long Beach/Palm Springs and Oxford, bring together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

On TED.com, they make the best talks and performances from TED and partners available to the world, for free.

Jill Bolte Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions — motion, speech, self-awareness — shut down one by one. An astonishing story.

My take: very educational, intellectual, touching and inspiring. I would love to hear what you think. Go ahead and watch the 18 min. video, then let me know what you think by using the comments box below.
